Tank top : Benefits and virtues
The sports tank top has a bad reputation, and often rightly so: too thin, it becomes transparent after two washes, stretches at the armholes, and ends up at the bottom of the bag.
We tackled the problem with the material. A fabric of 180 GSM, 95% cotton with 5% elastane: dense enough to hold its shape and remain opaque, flexible enough to never restrict movement. It's a tank top that you keep, not a disposable item.
The GSM (grams per square meter) measures the density of a fabric. It's the most honest indicator of what you will actually receive.
- Under 140 GSM: the realm of very light tank tops, often translucent, with a short lifespan.
- 180 GSM: a dense weave that drapes well, does not show through, and withstands repeated washing.
This is the compromise we have chosen: the durability of a real garment, without the weight of a thick fabric.
Two choices structure this tank top:
- The athletic fit. Fitted at the shoulders and chest, it follows the silhouette instead of floating. The stretch fabric does the rest: it stretches with movement and then returns to its shape.
- The racerback. The straps narrow towards the upper back, completely freeing the shoulders and shoulder blades. During pulling, pressing, or weightlifting, nothing rubs or rides up.
The straight hem completes the ensemble: it stays in place, even with arms overhead.
- Composition : 95% cotton, 5% elastane
- Densité : 180 GSM
- Coupe : athletic, close-fitting
- Dos : racerback
- Manches : sleeveless
- Tissu : stretch

Like all cotton-spandex, it is best to handle it gently to preserve the fit and elasticity:
- Machine wash at 30°C, inside out
- Air dry rather than tumble dry, which wears out the spandex
- No fabric softener, no bleach
- Gentle ironing if necessary, avoiding marking
Always refer to the label sewn into the garment.
